This Friday September 26, HLBC will host Youth Jam '08 featuring local recording artist Tony Stephens and a special message from Becca Price.

Admission to the concert is free and doors open at 7:00 pm with the concert beginning at 7:30 pm.

Tony Stephens is a local Worship Leader and Youth Pastor with a heart for helping students grow in their walk with Christ in all areas of their life.

Podcasts of Pastor's messages are back!! We had some issues with the former podcast host we used in the type of advertising they were using on our page so we were forced to suspend them. We have now found a great host, PodBean, who also hosts podcasts for many large churches across the nation.

You can visit our podcast page here at HLBC, or you can visit our PodBean page at hlbc.podbean.com where you can subscribe, listen, leave comments and even download the files so that you can put them on any device you wish.

This also gives us great flexibility to handle free subscriptions through iTunes, Zune Marketplace, Yahoo, Google and other 'podcathers'.

Chosen People Ministries

This Sunday morning, April 6th, Peter Shirokov of Chosen People Ministries, will be presenting the Messiah in the Passover with Communion in our 11:00 AM service. As you know, the Chosen People Ministries are a ministry that we support as we give our tithes and offerings to HLBC. Each year I schedule and look forward to them coming and sharing this special celebration of the Lord’s Supper with us as Peter takes us back to our Jewish roots to explain how Jesus created a new covenant in His blood on the night that he shared His last Passover meal with His disciples. I know you will be blessed with his presentation.

Revival @ New Life Baptist Church

Pastor will be preaching the final night of revival for New Life Baptist Church Wednesday evening April 9 @ 7 pm at 111 Old Moncks Corner Rd., here in Goose Creek. Pastor Harry Scarborough has invited him to come that night to be the last of four local preachers that he is having in that week for revival. He has invited us all to attend and stay for food and fellowship after the service. Pastor Jimmy has eagerly accepted his invitation to us and hope you will all attend that evening at New Life. So instead of our regular prayer/bible study service and ladies exercise class that night of April 9th, we will join the New life folks for worship and fellowship afterwards. Please make your plans to attend. It will be great to see a lot of  Harbour Lake folks in the crowd that night as I stand to preach.

VBS Clinic @ HLBC

On Tuesday, April 22nd, at 6:30 PM, HLBC will be hosting a VBS Clinic for our entire Association of churches to attend. We will be modeling our VBS theme this year for “Outrigger Island.”  Essentially we will be having a regular night of VBS, worship rally, kids, refreshments, decorations and all, to show other churches how to do it. Danielle Newhall and Tori Stephens are VBS directors for our Charleston Baptist Association and will be in charge that night. So ask them how you can help and get involved. Obviously we want to do our very best to help other churches reach as many children and their parents for the Kingdom, and we need your help to do that.

Inner Circle In Concert

On Sunday evening, April 27th, at 6:00 PM, we are having “Inner Circle,” a Southern Gospel Singing group, in concert in the Worship Center. This group is friends with the David Hill Trio and come highly recommended. Please plan to attend and be blessed by the gospel in song. We will take up a love offering for them after the concert.

Worship Service Time Changes

Beginning Easter Sunday, our times for Sunday School and Sunday Morning Worship will change.   The changes are as follows...

Sunday School - 9:30 AM

Worship - 11:00 AM

All other services will stay the same. We look forward to seeing you each and every Sunday and Wednesday.

YOUTH CAMP ANNOUNCEMENT

A am excited to announce the dates for Youth Camp this year.

From June 16 thru June 20, we will be just outside Jacksonville, FL at Dr. Rodney Keith's camp.  We will have the opportunity to use this week to share our faith and praise God!
